I got this book for christmas. Its not the typical biography that you may think. Its mainly an indepth explanation of the remaining months Randy Pausch had left to live and how he came up with his final speech that he gave at Carnegi Mellon. Before I go any further, I would recommend you all to watch his speech.

The book itself is phenomenal. You learn about this man, and how he gave and gave years before he learned of his pancreatic cancer. And how he stayed optimistic till his last breath. The book at first seems a bit depressing, but once you get through the short 200 pages, you realize how much influence this guy had on his students and people around him.The book def puts a whole new perspective on life. I would recommend it to any of you guys who get upset or are down. It definately is an uplifting story.
Aside from that, Randy himself has worked on virtual reality, 3d animations, special effects, programming, etc and has created the first ever program where students interested in collaborating from two different mediums (artists and technologist) are broken into groups to work together and create amusement rides, animatronics, computer games, 3d animations etc. To put it simply. its a Huge Playground where u spend hours and hours building cool things with no rules. The best part about the 2 year masters program is companies such as EA,rockstar,ILM,Disney's Imaginteer,Kodak,Microsoft help fund and contribute ideas and are very active in picking up students.
Also happens to be the place I plan on going for a masters degree. Hutz, Peepers come join me there. we'll make cool stuff :) http://www.etc.cmu.edu/
Oh ozzy the cod4 team leader of PMS, goes to that school, rofl
