To be honest, quad core really doesn't matter, unless you're running 3DSMAX, Maya, Crysis, and downloading 9 gigs of a video game, THEN you might want the 4 cores

But yeah, it's cool that they cut the prices down a bunch. And also it's fun to say "I have a quad core".

But i'm AMD for now, so I'll wait a year till I upgrade.

im AMD also, i have a x2 black edition 5000. OC at 3ghz it runs fine for me. Sure the intel will out perform it but it is still nice for right now.

i have 3ds max, and maya, dude honestly, quad helps so much in rendering times with the new 2008 versions, b/c they utilize it :).. mmm
