1. Bad harddrive (fixed already)
2. Faulty fan
3. Speakers sound popping in and out
That was my old issues from awhile ago.
Here are the new ones
1. Faulty Fan, AGAIN
2. IDLE CPU IS 220F
3. LCD is MELTING off the side
4. Dent on the bottom
I go to the apple store, and the guy at the genius bar, looks at me, then my mac-book and says whats the problem. I show him the cracked hinge, and the LCD screen melting off rubber film. And he starts writing down all the problems after I explain to him.
Then he finishes and says, well I'm going to send it in, but I doubt they are going to fix it. It looks like you just dropped your macbook pro. So I kindly explain to him that no, it is in fact a common problem with the unibody structure for 2009 and 2010 lines of macbook's. And he said well I've never heard of a heat issue like this, and I tell him kindly again. No i'm sorry but after doing some research its all over. And he said where. I said on forums. He said what forums? I told him APPLES forums. He said let me see. So I pull up at LEAST a DOZEN! for him, and he's like well this isn't from APPLE. If there is a true problem, then we would get a Certified message from Apple. He's like these are just people complaining. I look at him like seriously? Then he begins to tell me, that Dent on the bottom of my mac is from a screw. He said when a user presses to hard on the keyboard, it bends the macbook pro and the screw pops out. He said this is a common problem for people. So I say, its a design flaw then. B/c it shouldn't' matter how a person types? He tells me, well there's a possibility that the screw may be lose or just to big and was never adjusted. I'm like ok, and he said they probably won't replace that, because it still looks like you dropped your macbook pro. He also proceeds to ask me on how I knew what my Temp on my macbook pro was. I tell him, well when I boot into windows I check the temps there and they are well over 220F IDLE. He looks at me and rolls his eyes.
Now first off. I have the Apple care protection plan and everywhere I've read an understand, this matter is covered. What he writes down is that All of this is caused by a Heat issue, and that I run WINDOWS extensively. So most likely it will get sent to the center and then shipped back to me unfixed. When it comes back I'm taking it to the other apple store....
Before I leave he is like, normally I wouldn't even send this in, but I will anyway. And turns around and leaves...
Below is a picture of the common hinge issue. GG apple. took 2780 from me in the fall, and can't even repair a simple known defect for free that is listed as being warrantied. I would hate to have a macbook AIR and have to pay 800 for their hinges. (which btw cost 24 bucks on ebay)
