Forever I have had fps issues with Eve. Even with everything turn on low, everything turned off, full screen, in any fight with more then 50 people my fps get dragged down to 1.

Quad 2.2
4gb G.Skillz 800mhz ram (new)
4890 1gb (new)

No matter what I try, reinstalling drivers ect ect, I can't get it to work. I'm obviously bottlenecking somewhere as people with worse specs then me can run two clients max in windowed mode. Please help

this is what I posted on another forum. There is something obviously wrong with my computer and I really have no idea what else to try. Give me suggestions :)

what is your power supply wattage? At minimum from just those specs, it should be 450.

I have a 500 watt antec. This also effects BC2, I get around 25fps and dip way down in combat.

The most important part of a power supply for a gaming rig is the 12V rail current rating. Check up on that, and compare it to your video card's requirements.

I asked on the overclock.net forums and there pretty sure its just my shitty phenom x4 9500. Guess I just gota wait till I can upgrade to an i7 :(

I agree with hutz there. It could be an inefficient rail.

But it could be your phenom too, amds are terrible. have been for a few years now.

I would disagree with the AMD being terrible. I have had mine for almost 3 years black edition 5000 and it work great. The Phenom's though could be an issue.

Is anything OC? What is your heat at when running the game.

When was the last time you did a virus scan? Also how much room is free on your hdd? When was the last time you ran a defrag? Just a few things I would check on.

so I was getting fucking 8-9 fps in the game with nothing going on. Even today in BC2 I was getting around 14 fps. Can anyone link me the PSU website. Also are there any CPU and mobo related stress tests I can run?

PSU:

Total:369.

Only issue is, I don't know if your computer case can fit a whole ATX mobo or if it needs a micro?

its def a micro, I'll be getting a cheap case.

I might try running this off of my current PSU. Then upgrade if it don't work. I'm pretty sure its just my motherboard bottlenecking.

a friend is giving me a core2duo 2.6 for free, so all I need is the mobo. Soon you guys won't have to put up with all these stupid threads now

just installed a new 650w PSU, and still getting short voltages, so it must be the mobo for sure.
