we already know about no pbbans. Because EA isn't giving out the server files. They did this with BF2 for the first year. Beta isn't delayed. You can record, the console was already known that it was removed.

i have to say when i found out there is no prone i was pissed off. But after reading some explanations I am start to feel that maybe i can live without out. from the forums i've been reading about it lately, developers want to speed up gameplay, especially b/c of the size of the maps. they also want to eliminate the ability to "dolphin dive" which we are already seeing in MW:2. They say there will be plenty of cover and not having the ability to go prone will not hurt gameplay. guess we'll see

I must say that im not happy about the decisions they made. I was very excited about bc2 going against the bullshit that is MW2.

As long as we have dedicated servers we will be able to do what we want and that is what matters. I have a server at home that is chilling out and assuming my connection is good enough we can try some setups on that.

The beta will tell me everything that I need to know about the game.

But not sure about having no console.

I agree with woop, I remember everything that I ever did with BF2 was done via config. I used the console just to connect to IP's. Which I'm assuming will be done via xfire for BC2. So really everything about the game I still like. Actually happy about the no prone either. It would be cool if only snipers could go prone or something like that, but ONLY if they are holding the sniper rifle. If they use a pistol they can't prone.
Other than that, the ability to record can still be done. Mod tools prob will be released a year later along with the public server files. So I'm not to worried about the game.


BTW Ski, you wont be able to run your own server, at least not Ranked. You have to buy a license and be approved by EA for that. And they aren't releasing public files, so as far as I can tell all servers will be ranked.
