Apparently during the Install Screen sequence on Macbook Pro's the screen dims to where you cannot read it at all. A quote from my teacher and his solution, from what he found on google search to everyone who is having the same issue.
"The solution to the problem was decidedly low-tech: use a flashlight.
Excuse me? Use a flashlight??
Not having a flashlight, I had to squint really hard to barely make out the Snow Leopard install screen. Not being able to see the mouse pointer at first made this task incredibly irritating. "

Ah well tomorrow my Copy comes in the mail, I guess I'll have to sit with a flashlight too lol
Apparently once its done installing, the screen restores itself to regular "brightness"
